Day 9 – O Porrino to Redondela

Not much to report today. It was mostly just a long 12.8 mile walk mostly in an urban and country community setting. We are actually north of Redondela by about 2 miles. Redondela didn’t have great choices for lodging but north where we are – we are in a beautiful country home (Casa d’Mina).

The Camino wasn’t very exciting today and there were many, many pilgrims walking. Mid September is the busy season for the Camino but we didn’t know it would be this busy. Also, lots of road walking which is really bad.

Last night in O Porrino we rented a small apartment in the old town area. It had lots of good reviews and was close to restaurants. Just before we arrived the owner informed us there would be a band concert in front of the apartment starting at 10:30PM until 12:30AM. We were tired and didn’t attend but we didn’t have to since the sound was so high it shook the walls. Not much sleep for those 2 hours.

Our place is just to the left. Concert was loud!
This dog welcomed everyone walking by.
The only memorable town along the way.
Church where we got our morning credential stamp.
Hard to see in the picture but extremely steep.
Just a nice house.
