Always leave early!
Well what started out as a thought out plan to leave our Airbnb and get to the DB train at AMS Centraal on time turned into panic. When we got to the Haarlem train station to go to Amsterdam Centraal it seemed odd there were no people on the train platforms and no train information on the information boards. Then a message popped up on the boards that trains were down and we had to take the bus.
What… Where… Bus… Fearing we would miss the Germany train we finally found someone who pointed to the bus location around the corner and down the street. Fortunately the Dutch have a pretty good backup plan when trains stop and we made it to our train with 30 minutes to spare.
Could be worse – could be raining… Oh . it was raining!
